How to make thin wall food container mould?

In the thickness design of thin wall food containers, the wall thickness is usually less than 1mm. Guoguang's R&D team will design different product wall thicknesses according to product capacity, model, and specifications. According to our experience, the thickness of 1L thin wall food container is 0.5-0.6mm; the thickness of 2L thin wall food container is 0.6-0.7mm. At present, Guoguang has designed a minimum wall thickness of 0.31mm on the basis of ensuring the rigidity and strength of thin wall containers, and the wall thickness can be uniform.

Thin wall food container moulds must be strong enough to withstand high pressure and high-speed injection moulding. Therefore, in the selection of thin wall container mould steel materials, the core and cavity parts can use S136, DIN1.2316, DIN1.2344, DIN1.2738 and H13. In order to improve production efficiency, we will add beryllium copper to the top of the core to speed up cooling and reduce the moulding cycle; if there is a need for film internal paste at the bottom, we will add beryllium copper inserts at the gate to prevent the film gate position from being diluted.

In the selection of mould gate, there are two types of gate and needle valve. For thin wall or multi-cavity moulds, needle valve gates are recommended, with fast speed, sufficient feed, and reduced pressure. At the same time, Guoguang can also recommend 1 to 12 cavities according to the customer's machine and capacity requirements. For example, for 300ML round disposable lunch boxes, we can make one out of twelve; 1L square disposable lunch boxes can make one out of four.
